Stephanie & Neil Nixon Library Incredible Wedding

Better late than never!  Wanted to share one of our very cool weddings from last summer.  Stephanie and Neil were SO much fun, and gorgeous, too!  I loved working with them, and their dream team of vendors.
A lounge designed with vintage furniture from the hottest new vendor Found Vintage Rentals  in Orange County, a sweets buffet fit for the President, plus a dress change during the reception so that the bride could boogie down  – this wedding is full of style and the Swell Details were captured by Jim Kennedy Photographers.

Stephanie, who grew up in Orange County California, met Neil, originally from New Zealand, when they attended UC Santa Barbara. Their goal while planning their wedding with me was to create a warm environment for both families. It was important to have a hassle free weekend for the over 50 out of town guests.

The couple wanted a beautiful location that incorporated their Catholic traditions – they chose Holy Family Cathedral in Orange, CA for their ceremony and The Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA for their reception.

Amy and Ben are an incredible couple; kind and giving in all that they do.  I was lucky enough to work with them for several months while they were planning their big day!   

While their June Wedding day at The Nixon Library was for them, they made it about their guests. 

A real down-home Americana family affair incorporating Amy’s 6 adopted siblings; a family dinner created by Jason's Catering; a retro candy station fit for the first family from Powell's Sweet Shoppe; and of course, all of the Americana of the The Nixon Library, including the Army One helicopter. 

Swell details captured by Harvard Photography were: Amy’s vintage-feel dress, accents of bright green and peach, backpack favors filled with goodies for all of the children who attended the wedding, and incredible food by Jason's Catering.

On a beautiful day in September, I had the pleasure of working with a couple that were absolutely perfect themselves! I worked for almost a year with Laura and Eric through Jason's Catering, and had the pleasure of being their coordinator throughout the process. What a generous spirit Laura had when she commented on all of her vendors in LA Style Unveiled.

She did choose incredible vendors:

Jason's Catering , John Partridge Photography , The Vine's Leaf , and Girl Friday Designs .

What she was modest about, however, was her incredible attention to detail and her creativity that made the wedding so "Laura and Eric."
